The manufacturers we represent require their fall protection systems to be inspected on an annual basis (OSHA defers to the manufacturers on this matter). OSHA stipulates that the annual inspection of an ‘engineered fall protection system’ needs to be completed by a Qualified Person, which Northland Safety Solutions LLC certainly qualifies as, and record results. In addition, OSHA stipulates that annual inspection of user equipment (full body harnesses, shock-absorbing lanyards, self-retracting lifelines, etc.) needs to be completed by a Competent Person, which NSS installers certainly qualify as also, and record results.
The annual inspection of the engineered fall protection system is to ensure the system is still in good working order. Once the inspection has been completed, Northland Safety Solutions will submit a report of our findings and if required, a proposal to perform system repairs to bring the system back into good working order. If you have any questions about inspections or recertification, please call us at (507) 318-4351.

Once the re-certification has been completed, Northland Safety Solutions will submit a report of our findings and if required, a proposal to perform system repairs to bring the system back into good working order.
